Reading Chord ChangesOne of the most essential things for any jazz musician to know how to do is be able to identify and read the chord changes in a piece of music for purposes of improvisation. While this may seem very complex at first, it is something that can be easily grasped with a little bit of practice. Jazz StandardsOver the course of its long and rich history, there have been many jazz tunes that have stood out from others and became some of the most commonly played charts by jazz musicians around the world. These pieces are known as jazz standards and should be something that we, as jazz musicians, become familiarized with.
